How do I apply for a loan?

You have 3 options.  You can call us on 1300 661 991 (or request a call back), email us at info@safefinancialgroup.com.au, or hit the big green 'Apply Now' on the left hand side of this page. To be eligible for our cash and car loans, you must:

  • Earn a minimum of $400 a week or $800 a fortnight
  • Have a bank account in your name
  • Have proof of identification (eg. a drivers license)
  • Be an Australian citizen

How long does it take?

For a cash loan, we generally fund people within 24 hours of final approval (providing we can contact your references fairly quickly). 

For a car loan, we generally fund people within 48 hours (once again, providing we can contact your references quickly).

It only takes around 15 minutes to lodge an application.

What does ‘unsecured loan’ mean?

‘Unsecured loan’ means we do not require your house, car, furniture, white goods or any assets as security when you take out a loan.  The majority of microlenders do require some form of security so this is one of the ways Safe Finance stands from the competition.

Do you really lend to people with bad credit histories?

Yes!  Obviously this is a case by case situation, but we do try to help everyone and have a very strong customer base with flawed credit histories. 

Our lending criteria is not based solely on your credit history, but also takes into account things like character references, references from landlords & employers, and an assessment of your income versus your expenditure etc.

Are there any hidden fees or charges?

No.  Safe Finance is very upfront about this so that there are no surprises for our customers.  All you pay is the interest component and the brokerage fee. 

Unlike many microlenders, we do not charge an application fee or an establishment fee.

What do I need when I call to make an application for a loan?

Our operators will request the name and contact details of 4 references, your landlord and your current employer.  It would assist us in providing you the money faster if you have these details ready when you call.
